Again, YOU as YOU.
Hanging out with me.
Feeling relaxed and in control.
Creating your dream.
Let’s go!

My goal is to capture a genuine relaxed pose. If you’re all about the bubbly laugh, soft smile, smoldering stare or distant gaze, I’m good with it. I want your expressions to be the real YOU. Please know, however, if you are a tween or are taking your senior pics (a favorite of mine), I will ask you for at least one big ‘ol toothy grin for mom or dad. Come on – they deserve at least one!

I will happily give general wardrobe advice if wanted, am totally onboard that professional hair and make-up can be a real asset if that is your desire, and will prompt with poses when you seem unsure. I truly like capturing you being you and love letting you do your thing and show yourself. I edit for color and contrast, make minor adjustments to skin, and strive to have your final images reflect the real, fantastic you.

My sessions are relaxed and easy. I don’t have any backdrops or spots that I “have to” use. We will work together to choose your ideal location based on the vibe you are wanting to portray. Once there, I tend to be what I refer to as a ‘walker’. We head out and I search for optimal light and cohesive color. Many times my clients are surprised when viewing their images from our session because they didn’t see what I saw at the location. It’s all part of the magic. Let’s create some together...

First off, hi! Iʼm so happy youʼre interested in finding out about a session with me! Once I receive your information, I will reach out via phone. Yep...I know you might be thinking “I hate the phone!”... but truly! I find it easier for you to get a feel for who I am and how I operate by actually chatting with me versus trying to go back and forth through emails or texts. It is also easier for me to determine what you are looking for in a photography session so we can make sure we are a great fit.

This depends on you! Things to think about before you decide: Do you want to use your images in the yearbook or any event that has a deadline? Do you prefer long sleeves, scarves, and beanies – or sundresses and shorts? Do you shiver when itʼs below 70* like I do? Do you participate in any activities that limit your free time during certain months? Are you flexible and donʼt mind reschedules during iffy weather? All of these factors should help you narrow down the perfect time of year for your session!

We'll discuss this in detail after you book a session, but in a nutshell, whatever your vibe, YOU BE YOU. Wear things you feel good in and that reflect your personality and style!

As far as outfit changes go, I donʼt generally set a limit. If you want more than one or two looks, bring them and we will fit in what we can. Style and color palette depends on your vibe and personality and can help influence our location choice.

I prefer late afternoon/early evening simply because that time of day is my favorite! If it is sunny, we can capture sparkly bokeh in the background, play with long shadows, or full-sun shots that wonʼt cause unflattering light on the face. On overcast days, we may need to move the time up a few hours to get the most light filtering through, but in any case, I am willing to make the most of the time you have available and am usually willing to wait until the day of the shoot if the forecast looks dicey for rain!

I am always as eager as you to look through the session, so I typically have them loaded onto my computer within 24 hours! When I cull the images, I keep the ones that I feel represent you the best! At that point we have the option of getting back together or you looking through an online ‘proof galleryʼ at home so you can choose your favorites based on the package selected. From there, edited images are generally completed within 3 weeks. Product delivery may take up to six weeks from ordering.

When will I be able to see my images?

Simplest answer: no. You have the option of selecting digital images with a matching print copy. However, I strongly feel that professionally printed physical products… ones you can hold in your hands, display in your home, show off in your office, and pass down for generations... are THE way to go! I highly recommend Albums because they are beautifully crafted works of art and the easiest way to have a large number of images all in one place! I am happy to help you choose the perfect products!
